Job Duties/Responsibilities.

• Performs independent, routine, or repetitive assignments using a variety of simple techniques and standard work procedures.
• Follow detailed written procedures and technical drawings
• Troubleshooting of equipment to identify/diagnose problems
• Equipment tear down, repair and reassembly using hand and air tools, hand tools, and precision measurement equipment
• Maintain excellent housekeeping
• Counting inventory
• Operate forklifts, handcarts, dollies, pallet jacks and overhead cranes
• Ability to travel to remote job site locations as needed
• Participation in the rotational on-call schedule
• Active participation in FET's HSE program.

Skills/Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of hydraulics & mechanics
• Must have a mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Good communication and comprehension skills (verbally and written)
• Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to change direction
• Capable to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a good driver's abstract required.

Experience

• 3+ years' experience in a mechanical based role
• Forklift and/or Reach truck experience and certification preferred
• Experience related to hydraulics preferred, but not required
• Prior experience with service/drilling rigs considered an asset.
