This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial and building equipment, with a focus on electrical and electronic systems. The position also involves preventative maintenance, supporting quality inspections, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, repair, and maintain industrial and building equipment, focusing on electrical and electronic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using standardized methods and CSA codes.
- Design, build, assemble, modify, and install electrical controls and systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties according to TPM schedules.
- Maintain service equipment, work areas, tool crib, and spare parts inventory to ensure availability.
- Support the quality department by performing functional tests and final mechanical inspections before product shipment.
- Coordinate contractors' work permits, provide Client safety training, and assist with machinery movement and shop floor layout changes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of electrical and mechanical maintenance procedures and processes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift parts up to 35 pounds.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
- Residence within 80 km of Milton (no relocation provided).
- 309A or 442A License.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Knowledge of fabrication and production machinery.
- Knowledge and use of HVAC systems.
- Experience with air compressor systems, air dryers, pumps, powered industrial trucks, and scissor lift equipment.
