JOB SUMMARYClient, known for large-scale custom electrical-build projects, is committed to powering Canadian infrastructure in an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient way. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial and building equipment, with a focus on electrical and electronic systems. The position also involves preventative maintenance, supporting quality inspections, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.Key Responsibilities
  1. Install, inspect, test, repair, and maintain industrial and building equipment, focusing on electrical and electronic systems.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment using standardized methods and CSA codes.
  3. Design, build, assemble, modify, and install electrical controls and systems.
  4. Perform preventative maintenance duties according to TPM schedules.
  5. Maintain service equipment, work areas, tool crib, and spare parts inventory to ensure availability.
  6. Support the quality department by performing functional tests and final mechanical inspections before product shipment.
  7. Coordinate contractors' work permits, provide Client safety training, and assist with machinery movement and shop floor layout changes.
  8. Maintain thorough documentation of electrical and mechanical maintenance procedures and processes.
Required Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience.
  3. Ability to lift parts up to 35 pounds.
  4. Legal authorization to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  5. Residence within 80 km of Milton (no relocation provided).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 309A or 442A License.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Knowledge of fabrication and production machinery.
  • Knowledge and use of HVAC systems.
  • Experience with air compressor systems, air dryers, pumps, powered industrial trucks, and scissor lift equipment.
Certifications309A or 442A License preferred. Forklift license preferred.
