We are seeking a reliable and responsible Caretaker to oversee the maintenance, security, and day-to-day management of our premises. The Caretaker will ensure the property is safe, clean, and well-maintained, providing support to staff, residents, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, trustworthy, and proactive in addressing issues before they become problems.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the general upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of the building and surrounding areas.
Carry out minor repairs, basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as needed.
Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, and other utilities to ensure proper functioning.
Open, close, and secure the premises on a daily basis.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and report major issues to management.
Supervise contractors, deliveries, and external service providers.
Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Provide assistance to residents, staff, or tenants as required.
Previous experience as a Caretaker, Janitor, Facilities Assistant, or in a similar role.
Basic knowledge of maintenance, repairs, and health & safety practices.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and handle equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant technical or maintenance certifications (preferred but not required).
At least 13 years of experience in facilities maintenance or caretaking.
