Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrician located in the Greater Ottawa Metropolitan Area. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Day-to-day tasks include tenant fit-ups, security lighting installation, indoor and outdoor lighting, relocation of inside wiring, backup generator connections, emergency services, fire alarm system installations, and maintenance and repair. Additionally, responsibilities include working on emergency distribution systems, grounding systems, power distribution systems, and solar installations and service.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and industrial electrical installations and maintenance

• Proficiency in installing and maintaining security lighting, indoor and outdoor lighting, and fire alarm systems

• Skilled in working with power distribution systems, grounding systems, and backup generator connections

• Ability to perform emergency services and relocate inside wiring

• Technical expertise in solar installations and services

• Certified as a Master Electrician or equivalent certification

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Commitment to safety standards and regulations

• Relevant apprenticeship or training in electrical systems
