THE POSITION

The Sales Manager will lead, inspire, and develop our sales team to drive revenue across multiple mature and novel product lines and global markets. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on business development, working with existing customer channels while also identifying and capturing new market opportunities. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales leader who thrives in building relationships, developing high-performing teams, and implementing effective sales strategies that deliver results.

HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING AN IMPACT

  • Lead and coach the sales team to meet and exceed performance targets, ensuring a strong pipeline and consistent execution.
  • Develop and scale sales strategies for new and existing products, with applications in diverse sectors and global markets.
  • Identify, establish, and grow strategic partnerships, including distributors and resellers in target markets.
  • Manage a portfolio of high-value accounts, driving customer satisfaction, retention and revenue growth.
  • Research and engage high-potential customers with tailored approaches to win new business.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to develop impactful sales materials, campaigns, and messaging.
  • Represent the company at domestic and international trade shows, networking events, and industry forums.
  • Analyze sales performance data to refine strategies and tools for optimized growth.
  • Champion SMG's safety-driven technologies in key markets and sectors.
  • Partner with internal teams align sales strategies with revenue targets.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU REQUIRE

  • Post-secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership, with experience managing teams and driving business growth.
  • Strong background in distributor development, account management, and B2B sales across diverse sectors.
  • Experience navigating international markets and managing distributor relationships globally.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to travel within Canada, the USA, and internationally as needed.
