Our Scarborough client, a leading facility maintenance supplier, is looking for a Counter Sales/Team Lead to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of 5–6 employees, providing guidance, training, and support
• Assist customers at the sales counter with pricing, quotations, and product information
• Generate and process sales orders, prepare accurate quotes, and enter them into the system
• Negotiate prices to remain competitive while achieving sales targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers
• Conduct inventory counts and ensure proper stock levels
• Provide information on delivery options, methods, and timelines
• Source additional HVAC or plumbing products when needed
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma
• 1–2 years of Counter Sales experience
• 1–2 years of Team Lead or Supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing parts, tools, and equipment
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Safety shoes required

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience using AS400 (asset)
• Team player that can work under minimal supervision
• Strict adherence to safety practices and procedures

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm (Occasional Saturday)
• Pay Rate: $23-24 per hour
