Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive direct management and leadership to the Managed Security Services team and oversight of the deployment of Managed Security Services (ESS).
  • Focus on client retention and client satisfaction.
  • Increase SysGen effectiveness by orienting, training, coaching, and counseling staff. Communicating values, strategies, and objectives; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing a climate for offering information and opinions.
  • Ensure SysGen service-related policies and procedures are documented, communicated, and adhered to through regular service validation assessments.
  • Establish methods to improve efficient delivery of Managed Security Services (ESS) and other programs as they develop.
  • Monitor service and financial targets of existing clients to support the retention and growth of the organization in both technical services activity and project work.
  • Work with VP Service Delivery to identify cybersecurity growth opportunities, and assist in the development of new, relevant solutions.
  • Help grow client base, and underlying gross profit.
  • Develop strategic plans and projects. Coordinate the delivery of these plans and projects within the Monthly, Quarterly, or Semi-Annual Business Review for each Managed Security Services clients alongside the regions Business Development Manager(s) and Client Experience Specialist(s).
  • Deliver feedback to service teams.
  • Identify unique training or knowledge needs to support and service clients.
  • Will be responsible for oversight of all escalations in the region and available to assume the role of Escalation Manager where needed.
  • Build the SysGen corporate image by collaborating with customers and employees, enforcing ethical business practices.

  • Maintain open and honest communication.
  • Respond as a manager to cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, events and incidents.
  • Responsible for investigating incidents, analyzing attack methods, researching new defense techniques and tools, developing security policy, and documenting procedures for Managed Security Practice.
  • Advise and consultant with a variety of stakeholders including but not limited to; CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and other C-Suites on Cyber Security Policy, Process, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).
  • Act as a member of the Escalations Management (Incident Response / CSIRT) teams.
  • Vendor Management internally and externally.
  • Liaise with Pre-sales team on Project Presales: Cyber Security and IT Infrastructure (Security Team, ISG)
  • Work with Marketing on Public Relations opportunities i.e., Security Interviews, LinkedIn posts and drafting internal/external Security Bulletins.
  • Implementation of ESS projects, validation and assignment of tasks.
  • Act as a Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME - consultant) both internally and for our clients.
  • Follow documented best practice Change Management Processes.
  • Administration tasks associated with SysGen internal operations.

Knowledge and Skill requirements:

  • Experience leading diverse high-performance teams 5+ years
  • Track record of strong professional development (personal excellence)
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communications and presentation skills
  • Exceptional customer service acumen
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel / Power BI / Access skills (an asset)
  • ITIL certified (an asset)
  • Budgeting, Forecasting and Managing Financial Performance
  • Completion of a security certification (CISSP, GCIA,GCIH,CIH,CISA,CISM) is preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols including network security.
  • Solid understanding of monitoring and intrusion detection Hardware/Software
  • Minimum 5 years in information security related field work
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and clients.
  • Strong influence, communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
