The successful candidate will be involved in project management of clients new and existing specification for digital printing, maintaining project tracking of open orders, status on new specifications towards order execution, and fulfilling client specific requirements. Order creation in FileMaker, status review, and closing validation. Ensuring all data points are correctly recorded for reporting purposes. Involvement with identifying and ensuring all chargeable tasks are sent for invoicing. Expected excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong customer service and project management orientation.
The role is a Contractual
- Graphic Coordination:
- Monitor and maintain the graphics inbox specific to Digital orders / requests, FileMaker order database, digital press schedule, schedule by artist and virtual order queue. This includes but not limited to new, changed, and mock up orders, saving artwork files to appropriate file structures.
- Prepare and coordinate special digital graphic requests and projects. This includes mock up requests, may require quoting the mock up as part of the process. Provide status on special projects, mock ups, packaging and shipping of samples.
- Collaborate with graphic artists to ensure all orders / requests are handled efficiently and within established timelines. Verifying flysheets are posted to sales / CS group.
- Coordinate and track all steel die orders if needed for digital to corrugated converting, modifications and spec outs.
- Requesting missing information from sales and estimating as needed for digital graphic quoting or by graphic artist to process digital artwork.
- Attending meetings on projects and assisting with onboarding of new accounts.
- Answering CS/sales/production inquiries.
- Project Management:
- Working with Digital Print Manager regarding activities towards new account activation and onboarding. Includes credit approval status in order to process work.
- Follow up activities required towards project development status, includes design for artwork application by graphic artists, graphics approval. Includes colour / brand management, fly sheet execution, and FileMaker updates are accurately recorded and date / time stamped.
- Understanding and application of unique requirements; FSC or similar for artwork validation towards these traceable system requirements.
- Quality Review:
- Assist with non-conformance investigation, corrective and preventative actions.
- Assist with communicating quality expectations of clients when needed as part of the onboarding or continual management of the client account.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a Graphics or Print/Packaging related role.
- Post-Secondary Credentials, Graphics or a Print/Packaging related program considered an asset
- Basic knowledge of Esko, Artios CAD is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of structural design, layout, image and colour editing software is an asset (i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat)
- Basic technical understanding of preflight, workflows and various printing methods
- Self starter, ability work autonomously and with little direction in a high volume, fast paced environment, but also work within a team setting.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with various teams.
- General proficiency computer skills, Microsoft products; Outlook, Word, Excel.
- General analytical and problem-solving skills.
