Warehouse Operations & Facility Oversight:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations within a 75,000 sq. ft. facility in Brantford, Ontario and outside storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations for both indoor and outdoor material holding.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, and material flow to improve efficiency and reduce handling times.
- Operate and supervise forklift use, ensuring certified and safe operation by all relevant staff.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Oversee regular stock counts, and reconciliation processes to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials to minimize loss or damage.
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound freight across ground, sea, and air transportation modes.
- Negotiate rates and manage relationships with transportation vendors for cost and service optimization.
- Oversee transportation scheduling, routing, and compliance to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries.
- Manage customs documentation, tariff classification, and compliance for cross border shipments.
- Coordinate with custom brokers to ensure smooth and compliant import/export processes.
Compliance Oder Fulfillment:
- Ensure all customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
- Work with customer service and sales teams to resolve delivery issues promptly.
- Monitor order-to-delivery cycle time and continuously seek improvements.
- Work closely with sister companies globally to coordinate supply chain activities, share best practices, and improve international logistics efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales to align supply chain activities with business needs across regions.
- Maintain accurate and timely ERP entries for inventory, shipping, receiving and cost tracking.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain KPIs to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse and logistics teams to achieve operational goals.
- Assign workloads, monitor performance, and conduct regular evaluations.
- Promote a culture of safety, efficiency and accountability.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with carriers, warehouse suppliers, and logistics providers.
- Evaluate vendor performance and implement improvements where necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, and transportation management.
- Strong knowledge of freight operations (domestic & international) and transportation management systems.
- Forklift operation experience and certification (or ability to obtain certification)
- Knowledge of tariff classifications, customs regulations, and cross-border brokerage procedures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure.
