Title: Shipping Helper
Location: Hamilton, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $18/hr
Reports To: Shipping Lead
Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the Hamilton area, is currently looking for a dependable and detail-focused Shipping Helper to support their growing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate packing, labeling, and movement of goods within the facility. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in shipping and warehouse work who's looking for full-time, steady hours in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:Hand-pick and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and care
Pack goods securely and label shipments with all necessary documentation
Assemble shipping containers, crates, and packaging as needed
Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory, both manually and using internal systems
Assist with regular inventory cycle counts
Operate hand trucks or similar equipment to move goods as needed
Read and interpret order and shipping documentation to complete tasks effectively
Help maintain a clean, organized shipping area
Support the coordination of multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs
Comfortable with repetitive movement and physical tasks throughout the shift
Visual acuity to read labels, order forms, and track inventory accurately
Previous experience in a shipping role ideally in manufacturing and order picking, warehouse support role
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Forklift certified a plus
