Overview:
The Assistant Site Superintendent is responsible for helping lead the on-site team throughout the entire duration of the project. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, consultants, and clients to foster a productive and safe work environment. The assistant Superintendent will be assisting with all field operations including budget adherence, scheduling, safety compliance, and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to define project objectives, key deliverables, and ensure alignment with overarching business strategies.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including communication strategies, reporting frameworks, and risk assessments.
  • Assess resource and staffing requirements to efficiently meet project milestones and performance targets.
  • Prepare and present detailed budget estimates; adjust financial plans in response to evolving project conditions.
  • Work with department heads to evaluate staffing needs and secure appropriate internal or external personnel.
  • Identify critical project dependencies and proactively manage schedules to maintain alignment with the critical path.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules and milestones using appropriate project management tools.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, track key deliverables, and ensure alignment with defined goals and quality standards.
Candidate Profile
  • 7–10 years of experience in construction project management, commercial and institutional projects.
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success managing commercial and institutional builds, including new construction and major additions.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects involving full-cycle execution, client communication, operations, and administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adept at collaborating with internal teams and engaging external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience directing multidisciplinary project teams and providing performance feedback.
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, building trades, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
