Site Superintendent

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while upholding the highest safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities to work with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities -
Project Coordination & Scheduling
Liaise with the Project Manager and Company President.
Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to meet project deadlines.
Prepare work plans and communicate methods with consultants and inspectors.
Create weekly and bi-weekly look-ahead schedules; assist with updating the overall project schedule.
Quality Control & Compliance
Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Identify design conflicts, errors, or omissions, and coordinate resolutions.
Ensure subcontractors execute full scope of work and correct deficiencies promptly.
Safety & Site Maintenance
Enforce health and safety compliance on-site.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site.
Perform minor first aid and maintain first aid facilities.
Conduct site orientations for new workers and subcontractors.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain a daily site log and progress photos.
Keep as-built record drawings and progress tracking updated.
Attend progress meetings with consultants and owners.
Lead subcontractor coordination meetings.
Issue Resolution
Work with the project team to resolve disputes and coordination issues.
Identify extra-scope work and coordinate cost-effective solutions.
Additional Duties
Arrange inspections with consultants and municipalities.
Assist with procurement and awarding minor subcontracts.
Manage in-house skilled labor.
Open and close the job site daily.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or similar role in construction.
Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
Ability to read and interpret project drawings/specifications.
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Proficiency in scheduling, project management software, and Microsoft Office.
Valid First Aid certification (preferred).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
