Job Description

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing Project Control Systems, including an Earned Value Management System (EVMS). This role also provides actionable insights into project metrics to support the Project Team in executing work efficiently and effectively.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Manage a team of project controls specialists
  • Maintain regular project controls routines
  • Develop and maintain project controls procedures
  • Support cost and planning teams in day to day activities
  • Produce periodical progress, earned value, and KPI reports and recommend corrective actions under the supervision of senior staff
  • Coordinate and execute cost engineering activities
  • Develop, maintain and update project budget
  • Capture actual costs and quantities completed
Qualifications
  • 10 years of project controls experience in roles of progressively increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience as a project controls manager on a major project
  • Expert knowledge in cost, scheduling, forecasting, risk management and reporting
  • Extensive experience in earned value management systems (EVMS) and performance measurement
  • Well conversant with productivity analysis, development and reporting on KPIs for construction and engineering projects
  • Well conversant with EVMS principles, baseline development, work breakdown structure (WBS) dictionary, cost and schedule performance reporting, change control, variance analysis, corrective action development, basis of estimate, and charge number mapping
