Construction Safety Officer (CSO)
Lead with safety. Protect the team. Keep the site moving.

Were hiring a vigilant and proactive Construction Safety Officer (CSO) on behalf of our client in the construction industry. This role is ideal for someone who takes safety seriously, notices the small details, and knows how to keep teams protected while supporting productivity on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify and address hazards promptly
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing training for site workers
  • Complete hazard assessments, incident reports, and detailed daily safety logs
  • Monitor PPE compliance and ensure adherence to all safety regulations
  • Maintain first-aid supplies, fire extinguishers, and emergency preparedness plans
  • Collaborate with site supervisors on safe execution of lifts, excavations, and confined-space work
Qualifications
  • Valid CSO certification (or equivalent construction safety credential)
  • Strong working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards
  • Confident communicator who can coach workers respectfully and effectively
  • Basic computer skills to complete reports and correspondence
  • Required PPE: hard hat, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, gloves, eye and ear protection
  • Calm, fair, and assertive mindset. Always putting safety first
Compensation & Schedule
  • Starting at $30/hour, with higher pay available for experienced CSOs or those with dual first-aid certification
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, day shift
  • Overtime and weekend coverage may be required depending on project needs
