Maintenance Technician – On-Call Contract
We are seeking experienced maintenance technicians for on-call, full-time contract assignments in the Toronto area. Assignments will be provided in advance, with durations ranging from 3 weeks to 3 months
Location: Downtown Toronto (Leslie and Eglinton)
Rate: $22.00 – $24.00/hour
Schedule: Day Shifts Only
Type: Full-Time, Contract (3 weeks to 3 months)
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections and record equipment readings.
• Start up and shut down machinery as directed.
• Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, and life safety systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as filter replacements, belt inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Address plumbing, lighting, and basic electrical issues.
• Complete general building maintenance, including minor painting and mechanical room upkeep.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Monitor and assist contractors as required.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in facility or building maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and maintenance equipment.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional certifications (e.g., HVAC, Building Maintenance, CMRP) are considered an asset.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
