Tradeshow, Events & Marketing Manager

The Tradeshow, Events and Marketing Manager will lead the planning, execution, and optimization the Canadian event and tradeshow strategy with Marketing responsibilities. This individual will play a critical role in delivering exceptional in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences that support Ivoclar's mission of improving oral health and enhancing the lives of dental professionals and patients. Manage the organization of high-impact experiences that enhance brand awareness, generate leads, and support overall marketing and business objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive annual event and tradeshow calendar aligned with marketing and sales objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define event goals, messaging, target audiences, and KPIs.
- Provide Event and Marketing management support to the US Tradeshow and Events manager for large scale events such as the North American Sales Meeting and the Chicago Midwinter show.
- Event Management:
- Manage end-to-end planning and execution of company-hosted and third-party events, including logistics, budgets, staffing, and on-site coordination.
- Ensure brand consistency across all event elements including signage, booths, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Plan and coordinate special Canadian events, including summits, key opinion leader events, sales meetings, etc
- Tradeshow Execution:
- Oversee booth design, build-out, product displays, and set up ensuring consistency with Ivoclar brand guidelines.
- Coordinate logistics including vendor management, travel, and staffing.
- Handle pre-show preparation, shipping, and on-site troubleshooting.
- Coordinate lead capture strategies and post-show follow-up plans with sales and marketing teams.
- Manage and control corporate trade show inventory to ensure materials are readily available for all events
- Manage tradeshow and regional show banners including development of new banners as required.
- Manage the packing and shipping including the return, replenishment and putaway for tradeshows/events and regional shows.
- Vendor & Budget Management:
- Source and manage external vendors such as venues, caterers, AV providers, exhibit houses, and promotional suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and timely payments.
- Marketing & Promotion:
- Work with the Creative Services team to create and implement marketing strategies utilizing traditional and new media, including but not limited to:
promotional campaigns, email marketing, social media, and website updates. - Coordinate press releases, speaking opportunities, and sponsorships where applicable.
- Support product launches and corporate messaging through integrated event marketing initiatives.
- Develop new strategies for exhibit booth to drive interest and traffic promoting corporate products and corporate image
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Track event performance metrics and prepare post-event reports to measure ROI and identify areas for improvement.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience managing B2B events and tradeshows.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel (up to 30%) and work flexible hours during events.
- Proficiency with event management software and CRM tools (e.g., Cvent, Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Experience with budgeting, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
