Norelco Cabinets Ltd., a locally owned and operated cabinet manufacturing company since 1972, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales and Design Consultant specializing in high-end and custom cabinetry projects.
This role is centered on sales and business development, but it equally demands a strong eye for design excellence. You'll be responsible for driving revenue by securing premium projects while working closely with clients to deliver tailored, design-forward cabinetry solutions. Ideal candidates are confident sales professionals who also understand the importance of aesthetics, layout, and finish — and can seamlessly integrate both to meet the high standards of luxury clientele.
The role demands a combination of sales expertise, product knowledge, strong interpersonal skills to exceed customer expectations, and a high degree of motivation to achieve sales goals.
A Day in the life of the Senior Sales and Design Consultant: role and responsibilities:
Sales Generation & Business Development:
- Actively generate new business opportunities by identifying and pursuing opportunities in the luxury residential and commercial market, networking with builders, designers, and homeowners.
- Develop and execute personal sales strategies that align with company goals and target key market segments including homeowners, builders, and developers.
- Drive individual revenue growth by identifying client needs and offering premium, customized cabinetry solutions.
- Represent Norelco Cabinets as a trusted partner for premium cabinetry solutions, capable of delivering exceptional results tailored to upscale clients.
Sales Process Management:
- Lead high-end clients through the entire sales process, from initial consultation and product selection to final sale and delivery coordination, ensuring a seamless and exceptional client experience.
- Ensure a seamless and professional client experience from start to finish, with a focus on closing the sale and building customer loyalty.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Customer Engagement:
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients through direct communication, providing professional advice and customized luxury cabinetry solutions tailored to their specific needs.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of cabinetry products, materials, styles, finishes, and custom options.
- Stay up to date on trends and innovations to confidently present product options and upsell where appropriate.
Design Consultation:
- Use design knowledge to support sales conversations, offering creative luxury layouts or visualizations for kitchen, bathroom, and other cabinetry installations.
- Utilize tools such as 20/20 CAD to assist in the design process as part of the sales strategy.
Negotiation and Closing Sales:
- Confidently negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, and effectively close sales while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Follow-Up & Relationship Building:
- Provide excellent after-sales support, follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and foster long-term client relationships.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the engineering, design and installation teams to ensure proper execution of projects and timely deliveries, as well as to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Use CRM software to track leads, manage follow-ups, and document customer interactions.
Client Site Visits & Travel:
- Be flexible and available to travel locally and to the U.S. as needed for client meetings, project site visits, trade shows, or other business development opportunities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service, communication skills, and negotiation skills
- Deep understanding of luxury finishes, design trends, and how to apply them effectively in high-end spaces.
- Adept at problem solving.
- Able to work under pressure and with a sense of urgency to meet customer timelines.
- Detailed and highly organized.
- Self-motivated to meet individual, team, and company sales targets.
- Adaptable to changing process and strategies.
- Identifies and pursues personal growth needs and learning opportunities.
- Experience in commercial projects an asset.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and to the U.S. as needed
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales, ideally in custom cabinetry, high-end interiors, or luxury construction.
- Proven ability to generate new leads and close sales.
- Knowledge of CRM Software (preferably PipeDrive).
- 20/20 CAD experience as asset.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents and blueprints.
- Commitment to continued learning on products, technology, procedures and more.
