Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (M2) with experience working on Dash 8 / Q400 / Twin Otter / CL aircraft to join a growing operation in Calgary, AB.
This role is responsible for checking and maintaining the condition of aircraft and engine, and performing repairs, replacements, and adjustments in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Qualified to perform systems installation

• Responsible to the assigned leader and have ability to take direction verbally and through printed media

• Knowledge of Standard Practices and Mechanical Systems, accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents, manufacturer's installation manuals

• Understand other aircraft systems i.e., hydraulic, flight controls and major components

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment, including powerplant, flight control, hydraulic, landing gear and electrical

• Perform system checks and inspections to ensure Mechanical systems are in compliance with industry and safety standards

• Keep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipment

• Maintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditions

• Responsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on Aircraft

• Perform other work as assigned and willing to work shift work

• Properly utilize maintenance test equipment to perform systems tests. Properly utilize and maintain mechanical hand tools to perform installations and repairs

• Safely operate ground support equipment, i.e., power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as required

• Education and Experience

• 5+ years' experience working on the Dash 8, Twin Otter, or CL

• Shall hold current AME “M” Transport Canada license

• Aircraft type rating would be an asset

• Ability to hold an ACA would be an asset

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail

• Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Internet

• Good oral and written communication skills

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work Monday – Friday 0600-1430

• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
