This position is client-facing, and the ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, and experience working in a professional services environment. This role will also provide administrative support to Partners and members of the HLH LLP Chartered Professional Accountants team. If you enjoy working with people and being an integral part of the team this is a position for you! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support existing staff with daily administrative functions: printing and finalizing client packages
- Printing of client packages during T4/T5 and personal tax season
- Drafting correspondence and documents; proofreading and editing documents
- General administrative duties: ordering supplies, filing, printing, data entry, photocopier maintenance etc.
- Troubleshooting of basic IT problems (basic software and hardware issues)
We are looking for someone to join our team who has demonstrated the ability to: manage changing priorities, take initiative and be proactive when it comes to completing tasks. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills; self-motivated individual who is able to work independently
- Minimum 3 years experience in reception, office administration or an administrative support role (preferably within a professional services environment)
- Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration or equivalent; combination of education and related experience will be considered
- Experience with Simply Accounting, QuickBooks and other accounting software packages would be an asset (i.e. CaseWare)
- Must have the aptitude and ability to learn other computer applications as required
