Davis GMC Buick in Lethbridge is looking for an exceptional leader to join our reputable team as a Parts Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading the daily operations of the Parts Department within the dealership, driving change and business results, while enhancing employee engagement as well as customer experience and relationships. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned parts professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and exceptional leadership acumen, can be ‘boots-on-the-ground' to support the team and improve upon processes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Parts Department, holding them accountable to achieving current business and productivity goals
- Train, coach and mentor employees on industry best practices and provide advice and guidance to improve performance
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors; ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals
- Work closely with the OEM Supplier and Manufacturer to optimize parts programs (stocking, returns, discounts, etc.)
- Analyze sales, expenses and inventory to maintain profit goals
- Work with technicians, retail and wholesale customers to determine, select and locate correct parts for their requirements
- Order parts and provide information such as function, price, application and warranty to customers
- Solicit new retail and wholesale customers and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Work closely with the Service and Sales Department to ensure accurate and timely turn-around of parts and accessories
- Performs other tasks and duties as required
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in automotive parts consulting and/or management
- Proven ability to lead and build a cohesive team by motivating, inspiring, and engaging employees
- A team player committed to working with leadership and employees to ensure goal alignment and achievement
- Strong analytical and decision making skills with a continuous improvement pedigree
- Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills, including tact, sensitivity, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
- Post secondary education in dealership management and/or red seal parts certification is an asset
- A valid Driver's License
