We are currently seeking a District Vice-President Sales/Wholesaler to join our Sales team . In this role, the successful candidate is expected to develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy to increase CI's market share within the territory; develop a territory coverage strategy and communication plan with existing and prospective advisors; and educate and develop advisor knowledge of CI investment solutions.WHAT YOU WILL DO- Increase sales and grow CI's market share
- Build consultative relationships with Advisors and staff
- Work closely with Sales Coordinators to implement territory plan, prospect and maintain existing relationships (includes providing guidance and coaching)
- Fully adopt and effectively use CI's CRM platform to maximize sales results in the territory
- Master CI's investment message
- Represent CI at regional and national conferences
- Consistently improve and develop product knowledge, sales skills and efficiencies
- Effectively leverage senior management in the sales process
- Work closely with the National Accounts and Internal Wholesalers to identify and execute on specific firm and advisor initiatives
- Use deliberate, thoughtful scheduling and calendar management in order to maximize client time and to ensure activity corresponds to territory priorities
- 3+ years of sales experience related to the role as an internal, hybrid, or external wholesaler
- Established relationships within the industry is preferred
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated proficiency in general business disciplines
- University degree
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- CFP, CIM or CFA an asset
- Experience using Salesforce.com an asset
- In depth investment management and general market knowledge
- Able to make quick and appropriate decisions, while working within the regulatory framework
- Ability to build internal partnerships and relationships in a team environment
