A well-established sales and marketing firm for Division 7 systems (Thermal and Moisture Protection) and Division 9 (Finishes) , is currently seeking an energetic, career-oriented individual to fill the position of Technical Sales Representative. This position is based in Ontario and will focus primarily on the GTA
Responsibilities:
- Present and promote roofing and wall products and systems and related technology to construction industry professionals including building envelopen consultants and architects
- Manage the sales cycle. Cultivate strong relationships. Follow up.
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan. Identify opportunities.
- Analyze requirements and study specifications, propose project-specific solutions.
- Secure ongoing specification positions. Provide technical support throughout the construction cycle.
- Interact with manufacturer's sales representatives and distribution channel.
- Make presentations, engage in face-to-face interactions with customers
- Limited travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of Sales experience in the construction materials environment specifically building envelope and/or commercial roofing products and systems
- Understanding of the construction and contract process, standards, and local codes.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical literature.
- Professional demeanor. Strong communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging presentations.
- Proven rapport with industry professionals such as architects, consultants, etc.
- Existing relationships are an asset.
- Ability to manage a territory with minimal guidance
