Were looking for a friendly, organized, and upbeat Host to be the first point of contact for guests dining at Black Rock Oceanfront Resorts signature restaurant in Ucluelet, BC. This is more than a greeting role; our Hosts help set the tone for a memorable dining experience and keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
This is a great fit for someone who:
- Brings a warm and professional approach to welcoming guests

- Has strong communication skills and can juggle in-person greetings, phone calls, and reservation systems with ease
- Stays calm and friendly under pressure, even when it gets busy
- Works well with both the service team and the kitchen to ensure a seamless flow of guests
- Has an eye for cleanliness and helps maintain the appearance of the dining room between seatings
Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting and seating guests in a welcoming and timely manner
- Answering phones, responding to guest inquiries, and managing reservations
- Informing guests of daily specials and coordinating with the service team
- Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables as needed
- Supporting cleanliness and organizational standards throughout the shift
- Following all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Supporting teammates and jumping in where needed to keep service running smoothly
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in hospitality while working alongside a dedicated team in a spectacular coastal setting.
Additional qualifications:
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages an asset
- Good grooming and hygiene habits to reflect our professional image
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience in food & beverage or hospitality is an asset, but not required
