As an A/R & Cash Application Associate at Grand & Toy, you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, driving collections, and leading the way in adopting new technologies and automation. You'll collaborate across teams, build strong client relationships, and help ensure our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Where You'll Work
We are a hybrid organization and will require you to work from our Vaughan office 3 days per week. The other 2 days, you can work from your home office.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are applied accurately and accounts are kept up to date.
- Coordinate with clients to facilitate timely payments in line with contractual terms.
- Lead effective collection efforts to improve cash flow and minimize bad debt.
- Communicate account performance to Sales and Finance management through clear verbal and written updates, using reporting tools as needed.
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure all payments and credits are properly reflected.
- Document and record all transactions in the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail.
Who You Are

- Confident communicator, comfortable sharing ideas and feedback.
- Highly organized, able to work independently and meet critical deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and pride in your work.
What You Need
- Post-secondary diploma.
- Up to 2 years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with HFA or similar accounting systems.
- Previous experience in a credit department is an asset.
