dedicated Human Resources Officer to join our team during a period of organizational transition and growth.
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Officer will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR functions at Bridges Niagara. This position is ideal for an organized, empathetic, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to fostering a positive and supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation to meet organizational staffing needs.
- Implement and monitor performance management processes, including goal-setting and evaluations.
- Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Assist with training, development, and staff engagement initiatives to enhance team performance
- and retention.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, HR policies, and maintain accurate personnel records and reports.
- Provide regular reports and staffing updates to Senior Management.
- Provide administrative support to the Interim Executive Director and Acting Associate Executive Director
- Director as needed.
Necessary Skills:
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices in Ontario.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Additional relevant professional development courses should be listed in your application.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of HR experience in a nonprofit or similar environment is preferred.
