JOB PURPOSE
Netagen is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and contributing to Netagens growth by driving revenue through strategic sales efforts. This role centers on understanding market trends, generating leads, and managing the sales pipeline from prospecting to close. By working collaboratively with internal teams, the Business Development Specialist will contribute to Netagens market expansion and strengthen its industry presence.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Research & Lead Generation:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential business opportunities, assess industry trends, and analyze the competitive landscape to stay ahead in the market.
- Develop and execute lead generation strategies through networking, cold calling, and online research to identify and connect with potential clients.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their business needs, and present tailored solutions that align with their objective.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout the business development process.
Proposal Development & Presentation:
- Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches that highlight the value of Netagens offerings and address client-specific objectives.
- Customize presentations to prospective clients, showcasing how our solutions align with their business goals.
Pipeline & Sales Process Management:
- Maintain the sales pipeline effectively, tracking progress and updating records in the CRM to maintain accurate information on prospects and client interactions.
- Lead negotiations, address concerns, and finalize agreements to successfully close deals, ensuring smooth transitions from prospect to client.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment on business development efforts and provide feedback from client interactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create customized solutions that meet client needs and support seamless service delivery.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelors degree or diploma in business, marketing, sales, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation, ideally within the technology or telecommunications sector.
- Proficient in business development strategies and lead generation techniques, with a strong understanding of industry trends and the competitive landscape.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with prospective clients, articulate value propositions clearly, and lead effective negotiations.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively in both written and verbal forms; adept at active listening to understand and address client needs.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data and sales metrics, with a strategic approach to planning and achieving business growth.
- Solution-oriented with a proactive approach to handling customer issues; flexible and resilient with adapting to changing client requirements or internal shifts.
