Job Details:

• Position: 2 Full-time Chef
• Working Location: 5021 Kingsway #109, Burnaby, BC. V5H 4A5
• Wage: $35.00 ~ $37.00 per hour and 4% of the gross income for paid vacation per year.
• Work Hours: 30~40 hours per week.
• Start date of Employment: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• Create new recipes and plan menus.
• Train and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of new recipes and menus.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and create decorative food displays for special group menus, such as a birthday, anniversary, celebration, etc.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.

Requirements:

• Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 5 years of commercial cooking and food preparation experience.
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, wok, and deep fryer).
• A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.
• Leadership skills.
• Excellent time management abilities
• Familiarity with sanitation regulations.
