Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 CAD/year

Overview

StoreForce is a leading SaaS B2B operations platform for the retail industry. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a.Net Engineerto join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless data integration between StoreForce and our customers' systems and data providers and helping us continue to push our technology forward.

The.Net Engineerwill be working to integrate new and existing clients into our platform and enhance and support existing features. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can adapt to changing integration requirements.

This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to our Development Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Client Integration Support

  • Consult clients to scope and define data integration projects.
  • Design technical solutions for system-to-system data exchange (e.g., API, file transfer).
  • Author clear technical specifications and integration guides for clients and developers.

2. Development & Configuration

  • Develop and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using .net technologies to expose our system's data and functionality.
  • Integrate with a variety of third-party and client REST APIs, handling authentication (OAuth 2.0, API Keys), pagination, rate limiting, and error handling.
  • Develop and manage integration workflows for processing flat files from clients and partners. This includes parsing, validation, transformation, and loading data into our systems.
  • Leverage Azure Functions for event-driven, serverless integration tasks, such as processing queued messages and running scheduled jobs for data synchronization.
  • Implement testing strategies, including unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and accuracy of all integration points.
  • Implement structured logging, metrics, and tracing to ensure we can proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and understand the health of our integrations.

3. L2 Support & Incident Management

  • Diagnosing and resolving production issues ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Keep up with API changes from data providers and adjust integrations accordingly.

4. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain detailed documentation for integration processes, API connections, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Azure Functions (or similar cloud-based functions) to support automated data retrieval.
  • Proficiency with APIs (REST, SOAP) and integration tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Understanding of flat-file data structures (CSV, JSON, XML) and how to process them efficiently.
  • Ability to develop Azure Functions.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills must be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple integration projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to roll up sleeves to troubleshoot issues.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where requirements may change frequently.
