Squamish Nation is hiring a Temporary Talent Acquisition Specialist (4-6 months) to join the Chn chenstway Human Resources team!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, youll play a key role in delivering inclusive, smooth, organized, and efficient hiring experiences. Youll coordinate interviews, support hiring managers, manage postings, and ensure candidates feel informed and supported every step of the way. A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Partner with the Manager, Talent Acquisition on full-cycle recruitment efforts
  • Coordinate interviews and candidate communication across multiple roles
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to draft and refine job descriptions
  • Post job ads across internal and external platforms
  • Maintain organized candidate records and applicant tracking system data
  • Support with reference checks, onboarding prep, and HR projects
  • Ensure a respectful, inclusive, and culturally safe hiring experience

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, human resources, or administrative coordination.
  • Certificate/diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence and professionalism.
  • Experience with Indigenous communities or in a community-based setting is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
