We are currently seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one exercise-based therapy support to a client with complex neurological needs.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Physiotherapy Assistant to assist a client diagnosed with inflammatory radiculopathy and neuropathy-related muscle weakness. The primary physiotherapist has already assessed the client and developed a care plan. Your role will be to assist with in-home exercises in accordance with that plan—focusing on consistency, safety, and motivation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the client in performing prescribed range-of-motion and gentle physiotherapy exercises.

• Adhere strictly to the care plan provided by the supervising physiotherapist.

• Observe and report any progress or concerns to the client's family or supervising clinician.

• Foster a calm, respectful, and encouraging atmosphere during therapy sessions.

• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment throughout all activities.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Certification in Physiotherapy Assisting or relevant rehabilitation field.

• Prior experience supporting clients with neurological disorders is preferred.

• Familiarity with inflammatory radiculopathy and neuropathy-related weakness is a strong asset.

• Ability to assist with therapeutic exercises safely and effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a professional demeanor.

Additional Information:

• No lifting, transfers, or ambulation support required.

• No use of specialized physiotherapy equipment is needed.

• This role involves exercise assistance only and does not include assessments, evaluations, or diagnoses.

**Physical Requirements:**
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Capability to perform repetitive motions and tasks.
