Job Overview:
As a Dispatcher, you will be the communication hub between patients, drivers, and healthcare facilities. You will coordinate patient transfer schedules, monitor driver routes, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of our medical transport service.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process incoming transfer requests via phone, email, or dispatch platform
Schedule and dispatch drivers to patient locations based on time, location, and vehicle availability
Communicate effectively with drivers to provide route updates, instructions, and timing
Track vehicle and trip progress to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs
Maintain accurate records of daily transfers, driver logs, and patient information
Handle emergencies, delays, or rescheduling with professionalism and urgency
Liaise with hospitals, long-term care homes, clinics, and family members as needed
Assist with documentation, service quality monitoring, and driver support
Requirements:
2–3 years of dispatching experience in medical transportation, logistics, emergency services.
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Strong multitasking skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with non-emergency medical transportation or patient logistics
Strong English communication skills (spoken and written) are required
Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is a plus
