Our client, a leading organization in the food and beverage manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Millwright to join their operations team. This is a hands-on role that involves maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies
- Complete documentation such as work orders, permits, and parts requisitions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Participate in team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License) – Mandatory
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, kneeling, and working in elevated areas (4 ft+)
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts with prior notice
- Comfortable working in environments with heat, cold, dust, noise, etc., using provided PPE
- Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing, maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems
- Experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) and/or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is an asset
