Our client is searching for a Finance Controller to join their team. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, planning, and supporting transition of an ERP system and manage other financial systems. The successful candidate will bring expertise in cost accounting, working with high volumes of data, and summarizing/interpreting information to support business decisions.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual consolidated financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
- Handle bank reporting and covenant tracking
- Oversee Payroll, Banking, Credit Card management and Capital Asset tracking
- Prepare fiscal budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Assist in the implementation of an ERP system and financial reporting tools
- Drive process improvements within the finance and administration team
- Manage key financial processes and internal controls, including inventory tracking, and other initiatives
- Lead the finance and administration team across multiple locations with a hands-on approach
- CPA Certification
- Financial experience in the manufacturing industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with project accounting and consolidations is considered an asset
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of improving systems and tools
- Experience implementing ERP system and other technology enhancements
- Strong computer skills, data modelling, Microsoft Excel, ability to summarize large volume of data
- Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with the ability to summarize complex financial analyses
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Post-designation Accounting: 7-10 years (preferred)
- Costing: 5 years (preferred)
