Parkland County has a Temporary Full Time Shop and Yard Attendant (Maintenance Service Worker III) position available in our Public Works Department, working from approximately August to December 2025. Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for caretaking duties and the monitoring of an outdoor materials inventory for a vehicle and heavy equipment repair facility. This position is also required to assist in other areas of Public Works as required.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Successful completion of Grade 12.
- Minimum two (2) years of caretaking experience.
- Parts Technician assistance experience is an asset.
- Forklift and/or skid steer experience is an asset.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License. Upon hire, a current satisfactory driver's abstract must be provided.
- Mechanically inclined.
An hourly rate of pay of $32.60 working 40 hours/week.
