About This Opportunity:

As a key member of the Fixed Assets team, the Senior Financial Analyst, Capital Assets will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of capital asset management for two major production facilities. This includes managing the capital subledger, supporting project-level capital expenditure oversight, and ensuring adherence to corporate policy and internal controls. The role also plays a critical part in forecasting capital spend, reviewing invoices against purchase orders, and preparing executive-level reporting for Capital Council. This is a dynamic, high-visibility role that blends financial rigor with operational partnership and requires a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and maintain the capital asset subledger for multiple production sites.

  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting of capital transactions, including asset capitalization, transfers, and retirements.

  • Monitor and analyze assets under construction (AUC) Capital Expenditure Oversight.

  • Review capital expenditure requests (CERs) for policy compliance and financial accuracy.

  • Support management in the review and tracking of capital-related invoices and match them to purchase orders.

  • Work closely with plant teams to forecast capital spend and provide analytical support Capital Project Management.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful planning, execution, and completion of capital projects.

  • Develop and maintain project tracking tools to monitor timelines, budgets, and key milestones.

  • Support project owners in financial decision-making by providing in-depth capital project analysis.

  • Conduct post-implementation financial reviews to assess ROI and efficiency improvements.

  • Identify risks and opportunities related to capital projects and provide actionable insights to stakeholders Governance & Reporting.

  • Prepare and present capital spend reports and dashboards to senior leaders and Capital Council.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls related to capital expenditures

  • Complete quarterly idle asset reporting and capital-related appendices.

  • Lead or participate in internal control testing (C3) and provide audit support for external auditors (e.g., KPMG) Continuous Improvement & Collaboration.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline asset management and reporting.

  • Coach and support capital project owners on financial processes and policy adherence.

  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or capital-intensive environment.

  • Strong knowledge of capital accounting, asset lifecycle management, and internal controls Technical Skills.

  • Experience with SAP (particularly Fixed Assets module) and BPC.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to build and maintain reporting tools Leadership & Communication.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-makers.

  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
