  • Civil, structural, and environmental engineering
  • Hydrogeology
  • Surveying

With professionals from multiple disciplines under one roof, collaboration is second nature. The office is bright, welcoming, and designed to encourage innovation and teamwork.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Water Resources Engineer within the Kitchener Land Development Division, you will:
  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models
  • Design stormwater management facilities and low-impact development (LID) solutions
  • Conduct floodplain mapping and watercourse modeling (creeks and rivers)
  • Prepare stormwater management reports, drawings, and water balance impact assessments
  • Contribute to projects from concept through detailed design and implementation
What You Bring to the Team
  • Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering (Master's considered an asset)
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in consulting
  • P.Eng designation in good standing
  • Proficiency with modeling and design software including:
    • HEC-2/HEC-RAS
    • GAWSER
    • MIDUSS
    • OTTHYMO
    • XP-SWMM
    • MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD (considered an asset)
  • Knowledge of government technical standards, engineering best practices, and environmental regulations
  • Strong technical writing and report preparation skills
  • Detail-oriented with sound judgment and strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
