What You'll Be Doing:
- Event Specialist: Welcome guests with a warm smile, ensuring they feel like VIPs at every event, from weddings to corporate gatherings.
- Service Expert: Set up banquet spaces with precision, serve meals and beverages professionally, and anticipate guest needs to create seamless dining experiences.
- Presentation Pro: Ensure food and drinks are served with elegance, adhering to banquet standards and event timing.
- Detail-Oriented Hero: Maintain clean and organized banquet spaces, reset tables, and follow health and safety protocols.
- Collaborative Team Player: Work closely with the kitchen, bar, and banquet leadership to ensure events run smoothly.
- Upsell Wizard: Confidently recommend additional items or upgrades, such as premium wine selections or signature cocktails, to elevate the guest experience.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience Preferred: Previous banquet or serving experience is an asset, but we're happy to train enthusiastic individuals.
- Knowledgeable & Eager: Familiarity with food, wine, and cocktails—or a willingness to learn—is essential.
- Customer Service Superstar: Strong communication skills and a passion for making guests feel special.
- Professional & Composed: A friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexible Availability: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically Capable: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Certification Required: Serve Right Nova Scotia certification. Food Handlers certification is an asset.
- Fluent in English
