Banyan Software is seeking a strategic, hands-on finance leader to elevate a growing portfolio of enterprise software companies through operational excellence, scalable reporting, and post-acquisition integration. Reporting to the Operating Partner for the Financial Services Vertical and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer for Banyan, this role blends controllership, FP&A, systems improvement, and people leadership and serves as a launchpad to VP Finance or CFO.
What You'll OwnStrategic Finance & Portfolio Support- Lead financial strategy, planning, and analysis for a group of acquired OpCos
- Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, reforecasts, and performance analyses
- Act as finance business partner to OpCo leaders, translating results into decisions
- Own month-end close and reporting (US GAAP) with high accuracy and speed
- Deliver consistent OpCo-level financials aligned with Banyan's consolidated reporting
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of audit and statutory filings
- Support M&A diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning
- Own post-close financial integration including accounting clean-up and reporting setup
- Deploy standard finance playbooks across acquired entities
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls across all OpCos
- Collaborate with shared service teams (Pakistan, India) to automate reporting and optimize working capital
- Champion systems upgrades and data-driven improvements (e.g., NetSuite, Power BI)
- Lead and mentor a high-performing international finance team
- Guide career development, cross-training, and succession planning
- Promote a culture of execution, accountability, and growth
- CPA/CA required; MBA or advanced credentials are an asset
- 15+ years in progressively senior finance roles, ideally in software or PE-backed environments
- Track record of building and leading finance teams across multiple entities
- Deep expertise in US GAAP close, audit readiness, and financial reporting
- Strong financial modeling and variance analysis skills
- Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP; comfort with systems/process design
- Proven ability to influence across functions and geographies
- Hands-on leader who balances detail with strategy
