Position Overview:We're seeking a safety-conscious, responsible, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Propane & Operation Support Associate (Part-Time). This position plays a critical role in safely operating the propane refill station and supporting store operations such as outside operation, shopping cart retrieval and logistics. This is a great opportunity for individuals who already possess a Nova Scotia Class F Fuel Safety License (Propane Transfer Certificate).
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Safely dispense propane to customer tanks and cylinders in accordance with Nova Scotia Fuel Safety Regulations
- Operate propane refill station and inspect equipment for safe functionality
- Retrieve and organize shopping carts from the parking lot and outdoor areas
- Support general cleanliness and organization of the exterior of the store
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service
- Follow all Canadian Tire health and safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of propane transactions and safety inspections
- Collaborate with team leaders to prioritize daily operation tasks
Requirements
- Valid Nova Scotia Fuel Safety License – Class F (Propane Transfer Certificate) – required
- Experience operating a propane station is a must
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Strong sense of safety, reliability, and responsibility
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
