Position Overview:We're seeking a safety-conscious, responsible, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Propane & Operation Support Associate (Part-Time). This position plays a critical role in safely operating the propane refill station and supporting store operations such as outside operation, shopping cart retrieval and logistics. This is a great opportunity for individuals who already possess a Nova Scotia Class F Fuel Safety License (Propane Transfer Certificate).

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Safely dispense propane to customer tanks and cylinders in accordance with Nova Scotia Fuel Safety Regulations
  • Operate propane refill station and inspect equipment for safe functionality
  • Retrieve and organize shopping carts from the parking lot and outdoor areas
  • Support general cleanliness and organization of the exterior of the store
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • Follow all Canadian Tire health and safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of propane transactions and safety inspections
  • Collaborate with team leaders to prioritize daily operation tasks

Requirements

  • Valid Nova Scotia Fuel Safety License – Class F (Propane Transfer Certificate) – required
  • Experience operating a propane station is a must
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong sense of safety, reliability, and responsibility
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
