About the Role

Are you a self-driven individual looking to enhance your skills in a dynamic field environment? Enceptas Test and Treat Program is seeking a proactive and motivated labourer to support our Field Services team. This role involves hand-on activities such as lifting and digging while coordinating with on-site personnel, and is responsible for various physical tasks to ensure site readiness for further operations.

[This role comes with flexible pay structures: base salary + piece rate per tested pole for more earning potential and a possibility of Full-Time Employment on the Field Services team!]

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow directions effectively from the Field Services team, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and assist in various tasks as assigned.
  • Perform physical labor such as digging, lifting, carrying, and operating basic construction tools and equipment to build small holes around telephone poles.
  • Co-ordinate and report effectively to the Field Coordinator on site to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency in challenging environments.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing conditions and demands of construction projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience in telecommunications-construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge and experience in working in a telecommunication environment. Ability to lift heavy loads up to 50-75 lbs. Willingness to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
  • Support Skills: Ability to support daily activities, provide expertise, and communicate effectively with the Field Coordinator throughout all project phases.
  • Resourcefulness: Ability to research and implement existing and new approaches to completing work. Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization: Highly organized, time-conscious, and results-focused.
  • Customer Service: Courteous and amiable client service approach.
  • Other Requirements: valid Driver License Class 5 , reliable transportation, legally eligible to work in Canada, basic safety knowledge.
