Compensation Information: $28.00 per hour
Physical Requirement: Light; work activities involve handling loads up to 10 kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

- Proficient computer skills with the ability to complete and manage daily reports, scheduling, and administrative tasks accurately and consistently.
- Strong administrative abilities, including record-keeping, shift planning, and crew coordination.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, self-motivated and team oriented.
- Ability to effectively motivate and support team members.
- Mature, reliable, and professional with a strong work ethic and well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Capable of thinking clearly, reacting quickly, and communicating effectively under pressure.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain focus on overall project goals.
- Previous grooming experience and familiarity with snowmaking systems considered strong assets.
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Willing and able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Experience in special events or venue preparation is an asset.
- Snowboarding/skiing considered an asset.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute the daily grooming lists.
- Complete and manage safety meeting sign-off sheets, including daily weather forecasts.
- Compile and submit the grooming report with operator names, run coverage, machine hours, and fuel usage.
- Track and confirm Payworks sign-ins and sign-outs for all staff per shift.
- Prepare grooming meeting materials
- Maintain up-to-date grooming records and competency training.
- Perform morning check-ins with the midnight crew Lead Hands and dispatch to confirm grooming report accuracy.
- Delegate tasks to grooming staff and adjust plans as needed throughout the shift.
- Coordinate with snowmaking and other departments to align grooming schedules and needs.
- Ensure the safety of personnel and equipment across all grooming operations.
- Identify and respond to fuel or oil spills according to the Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures.
- Source and order goods and supplies as required to support grooming operations.
- Stay informed about machine status and readiness by maintaining communication with the Alpine Shop.
