Service Manager – Heavy Equipment Fleet
Location: Burlington, ON
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000/year
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday to Friday

We're hiring a Service Manager to take charge of fleet operations for a growing construction company based in Burlington. This is a leadership role where you'll oversee a team of three mechanics and manage a fleet of over 100 pieces of heavy equipment and vehicles.

This position is ideal for someone with experience managing maintenance teams, working in a service department, or overseeing equipment operations. You'll play a critical role in keeping the fleet running safely and efficiently, ensuring downtime is minimized and preventative maintenance is on schedule.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Lead and supervise a team of in-house mechanics

• Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs

• Monitor fleet performance and identify opportunities for cost savings

• Forecast equipment needs and manage service timelines

• Oversee parts procurement and manage shop inventory

• Ensure equipment is always available and job-site ready

• Work closely with operations to align equipment availability with project timelines

• Experience in a service manager, fleet manager, or similar supervisory role

• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and repair workflows

• Proven ability to manage teams and lead shop operations

• Strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset

• Comfortable with forecasting, scheduling, and cost control

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
