Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Fleet Manager Opportunity

Are you a seasoned 421A Heavy Equipment Technician ready to take the next step in your career? This is your chance to move off the tools and into a leadership and fleet management role with a growing construction company based in Oakville.

We're looking for a hands-on leader to manage a diverse fleet of over 100 pieces of heavy equipment and vehicles. You'll oversee day-to-day shop operations, manage a team of mechanics, and take full ownership of keeping the fleet running efficiently, cost-effectively, and reliably.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Take full responsibility for fleet management and maintenance planning

• Supervise and support a team of 3 technicians in the shop

• Schedule repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance

• Manage parts inventory and ordering

• Forecast equipment needs, costs, and timelines

• Ensure the fleet is always ready, compliant, and performing at its best

What We're Looking For:

• 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License (mandatory)

• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience

• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Experience with fleet operations or equipment management a major asset

• Self-starter who can take ownership of the fleet and drive improvements

• Knowledge of heavy equipment, construction vehicles, and shop operations
