Position: Chiller Design Engineer

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Chiller Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing custom chiller and pump packages, generating accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve production-related challenges. You'll also play a key role in research and development initiatives aimed at improving product performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop chiller and pump systems for a range of industrial and commercial applications

  • Prepare and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) to support accurate and timely production

  • Create engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and technical documentation using AutoCAD, Solid Edge, or similar software

  • Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues, streamline processes, and optimize material use in a made-to-order environment

  • Support R&D efforts through calculations in heat transfer and fluid dynamics, investigating new technologies, reducing costs, and developing prototypes

  • Conduct lab testing of prototypes to verify performance, provide analysis, and recommend design enhancements

  • Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations, customer specifications, and production capabilities

  • Collaborate with onsite and remote engineering teams to align on technical requirements and project objectives

  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the engineering and production teams

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller system design

  • Proficient in both 2D and 3D CAD software

  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and component applications

  • Solid foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and other engineering software tools

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
