Position Overview: HVAC Service Technician

As an HVAC Service Technician, youll be responsible for testing, commissioning, and servicing our custom HVAC systems both in-house and at customer locations. You'll play a key role in ensuring top-quality performance and exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Test HVAC units to ensure full functionality prior to deployment
• Start-up and commission HVAC systems at client sites
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, components, and electrical systems
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Train apprentices, customers, and site technicians on our systems
• Detect and repair refrigerant leaks; recharge systems as needed
• Perform pipe or tubing joint testing using pressure gauges
• Accurately read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Deliver excellent customer service while addressing concerns or inquiries
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Certified Journeyman Refrigeration (or equivalent)
• Alberta Gasfitter A or B Ticket (strong asset)
• Alberta Electrician Ticket (strong asset)
• Valid drivers license with a clean abstract
• Canadian residency (required)
• Ability to travel within Canada and to the USA (valid passport required)
• Must pass pre-access drug/alcohol screening and background checks
• Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent reading, numeracy, and critical thinking abilities
• Proficient with computer systems and diagnostic tools

Work Environment & Schedule

• Indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Some work at heights, exposure to noise/dust
• MondayFriday, Averaging hour agreement 44-hour week
• Occasional weekend work and extended hours during travel (up to 12 hours/day)
• No on-call shifts
