Heavy Industrial Multi Disciplined Projects

Primary responsibility is to analyze project plans and specifications to accurately estimate the cost of labor, materials, and other resources needed for a construction project. This involves gathering information, developing detailed cost breakdowns, and preparing comprehensive bids for clients or management.

Core Responsibilities:

Analyzing project documents: Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope of work and identify potential cost factors.

Developing cost estimates: Calculating material quantities, labor hours, equipment costs, and other expenses to create detailed cost estimates for projects.

Gathering information and pricing: Consulting with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain quotes, understand market rates, and ensure accurate pricing.

Preparing bids: Creating comprehensive bids for clients, including detailed cost breakdowns, timelines, and project plans.

Building relationships: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Presenting estimates: Clearly communicating cost estimates and project plans to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Staying informed: Keeping up to date with industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques.

Quantity takeoff: Accurately measuring and calculating quantities of materials needed for the project.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in industrial construction is often preferred.
