We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet customer and regulatory requirements through effective quality control systems, process improvements, and root cause analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, statistical quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure product compliance with company and industry standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
- Initiating action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformances relating to product, process and the Quality Management System.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, design, procurement, etc.) to resolve product quality issues.
- Review and approval of individual work instructions which detail degree, frequency and method of inspection, testing and monitoring required to assure quality.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Perform internal audits and support external audits (ISO, customer, regulatory bodies).
- Organization and coordination of internal Quality Audits and corrective action required as a result of audit observation.
- Monitor and analyze production data using statistical tools (e.g., SPC, Pareto analysis) to identify trends and prevent defects.
- Analyzing costs of Quality (internal failure costs/external failure costs)
- Maintain documentation related to quality processes, procedures, and inspection protocols.
- Responsible for assisting problem solving assigned programs for quality related issues utilizing 8Ds or other problem-solving tools as appropriate.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by developing inspection criteria and validation protocols.
- Train production and inspection staff on quality tools, standards, and techniques.
- Develop performance standard, evaluation systems and KPI's for all departments.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or similar is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other applicable quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and techniques (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, 8D, etc.).
- Proficiency in using quality software tools and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and use measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
