Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair for residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects. The Journeyman Plumber must be licensed in [State/Province] and demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures including water heaters, drainage systems, and more.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and determine effective solutions.
- Ensure work complies with local plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, and other professionals on job sites.
- Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes and fittings.
- Respond to service calls and emergency plumbing issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Train and oversee apprentices or helpers as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have Valid Journeyman Red Seal Plumber license.
- Must have Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must have good customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in a variety of environments.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in residential renovations and new construction
- Certification in backflow prevention, gas fitting, or other specialties.
- OSHA or other safety certifications.
Working Conditions:
- May work indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Frequently required to stand, kneel, crawl, or climb ladders.
- May be on call for after-hours emergency service.
