The client is a leading provider of innovative healthcare technology solutions focused on organ transplantation and allocation. They deliver powerful, scalable platforms that support national-level transplantation networks by improving referral management, streamlining workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency for transplant centers and organ procurement organizations

The Senior QA Engineer reports to the Director of Solution Implementation and provides a broad range of application testing services for various clients and their applications. This role closely collaborates with QA Engineers, QA Leads, and the wider technical team to uphold and continuously improve the quality of client solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Take ownership of automated quality assurance for assigned projects/products, collaborating with project leadership to establish quality controls, metrics, processes, and tools.
• Lead and contribute to both manual and automated testing for internal and external client projects, adapting based on project needs.
• Develop and execute test strategies, detailed test plans, and test cases.
• Maintain a traceability matrix to ensure all client requirements are thoroughly covered by test cases.
• Write and execute test scripts for various testing levels (system, integration, performance, regression).
• Analyze user stories and use cases for validity and feasibility.
• Execute all levels of functional and non-functional testing.
• Contribute to defect management, including identification, reporting, and resolution.

Project & Team Collaboration

• Identify risks and opportunities in the course of testing and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
• Participate actively in Scrum and sprint planning sessions.
• Mentor less experienced team members and represent the QA team in cross-department meetings, providing status updates on testing activities.
• Contribute to Test Data Management solutions and help ensure compliance with accessibility standards for web projects (e.g., AODA).

General & Continuous Improvement

• Engage in ongoing, self-directed learning of new tools and technologies.
• Continuously contribute to improvements in QA processes and best practices.
• Complete various assigned tasks, such as research or documentation, while meeting strict deadlines.
• Adhere strictly to information security, privacy, and confidentiality policies and practices; align with client-specific requirements when necessary.
• Foster strong client relationships through high-quality deliverables and professional demeanor.
• Apply a collaborative, mindful approach to teamwork, with an understanding of the SDLC and its impact across teams.
• Support business development efforts when possible.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-7 years in software testing and quality assurance for complex IT solutions.
• Testing Levels: Proficient in system, integration, performance, and regression testing.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Test Planning: Skilled in creating project plans, testing strategies, and test cases.
• Data & Defect Management: Experience with Test Data Management and defect/issue tracking.
• Platforms: Experience testing web and mobile applications across various devices and environments.
• Automation Tools: Experience with test automation, particularly Selenium or similar tools.
• Methodologies: Experience with both Agile (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Skills: Strong multitasking, attention to detail, analytic mindset, and self-motivation.
• Communication: Strong written and spoken communication; positive team player.
• Languages: Bilingual proficiency (English and French) highly desired.
